Azam Swati of PTI wins Senate seat from KP
PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Azam Swati on Wednesday won a Senate seat from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
At a Senate poll held here at KP assembly, Azam Swati of PTI defeated Haji Ghulam Ali of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.
Out of 124 MPAs in the KP assembly, 117 cast their votes. Azam Swati bagged 70 while the runner up Haji Ghulam Ali secured 41

The Senate had fallen vacant following the death of Awami National Party (ANP) leader Azam Khan Hoti.
