Khawaja brothers' judicial remand extended till March 4
LAHORE: The Accountability COurt on Saturday extended judicial remand of Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother Khawaja Salman Rafique in Ashiana Housing Scheme case till March 4.
Tight security arrangements were made on their appearance, with shipping containers placed outside the court to close the roads.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) produced the Khawaja brothers before the court after their remand expired.
It was their seventh appearance in the court during which Accountability Court Jugde Sayed Najmul Hassan conducted the hearing.
The court asked the NAB what happened to reference against the Khawaja brothers.
The investigator told the court that the reference against the suspects would be produced before the completion of 90 days.
The court asked the investigators to submit a final report into the case against Khawaja brothers and approved NAB's request to extend their judicial remand.
Khawaja brothers were taken into custody on December 11 in Asihan Iqbal Housing scheme.
