APS Peshawar attack: Five accused arrested in Afghanistan

KABUL: Acting on Pakistani intelligence, Afghan security forces have apprehended five suspects for their alleged involvement in the heinous attack on Army Public School, Peshawar that had claimed lives of at least 146 people including 134 students.

According to sources, all the five suspects hail from Pakistan and are key commanders of a proscribed outfit.

KABUL: Acting on Pakistani intelligence, Afghan security forces have apprehended five suspects for their alleged involvement in the heinous attack on Army Public School, Peshawar that had claimed lives of at least 146 people including 134 students.

According to sources, all the five suspects hail from Pakistan and are key commanders of a proscribed outfit.

The suspects carried out the planning of the APS attack and also served as the coordinators, the sources added.

The Afghan authorities have informed the Pakistani officials about their arrest while further investigation is also being made.

The sources further said that the recent visit of Pakistan Director General ISI to Kabul on an emergency basis was also linked to the latest development.
