PM lauds sacrifices of IDPs during Operation Zarb-e-Azb
MIR ALI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday appreciated the patience and efforts shown by the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as they were finally beginning to return to their hometown of Mir Ali in North Waziristan.

MIR ALI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday appreciated the patience and efforts shown by the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as they were finally beginning to return to their hometown of Mir Ali in North Waziristan.
Addressing a gathering of IDPs at a camp in Mir Ali, flanked by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, the PM said that it is a momentous and happy occasion that everyone can now return to their homes.
The PM went on to say that terrorism has been eliminated and the environment is now favourable to live peacefully.
He further said that the army has done excellent work for the IDPs which will continue in all forms, adding that security will be strengthened in all the cleared areas.
He also said that all facilities will be provided to the IDPs in the areas to be redeveloped.
PM Nawaz also congratulated the army on its efforts, success and sacrifices.
He also distributed gifts to the IDPs at the end of his address.
The Prime Minister was briefed that most of the areas in North Waziristan have been cleared of terrorists in the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Khan and SAFRON Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch were also present on the occasion.
