PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) leader, Asfandyar Wali Khan on Wednesday claimed that the provincial government had no pre-planned arrangements to deal with the recent devastation caused by the rains.
Dozens of people had lost their lives and scores others had sustain injuries in what is being called a mini cyclone that hit parts of Khyber Pakhutnkhwa province on Sunday.
In a statement released here today, the ANP leader also criticized the federal government over the agreements reached with China in connection with multi-billion dollar Pak-China Economic Corridor.
“If opposing the changes in the original economic corridor is considered treason, then I admit I am a traitor,” he said.
He said ANP is not against Pakistan’s progress or Pak-China friendship but changes in the original economic corridor would be tantamount to injustice to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
