No headway in murder investigation of Sabeen Mahmud
KARACHI: There has been no headway in the murder investigation of Director The Second Floor (T2F) Sabeen Mahmud who was gunned down by unknown armed assailants in DHA Phase II on April 24.

KARACHI: There has been no headway in the murder investigation of Director The Second Floor (T2F) Sabeen Mahmud who was gunned down by unknown armed assailants in DHA Phase II on April 24.
According to investigators, forensic tests of Sabeen’s vehicle and bullet casings have been conducted after her murder case was lodged.
Investigators said the weapon used in the murder had not been previously used and the bullet casings did not match any record.
A request has been sent for mobile phone call data record, while geo-fencing will also be conducted.
Sabeen Mahmud was driving her car and her mother was in the passenger seat when she was shot at a traffic light near the Defence Library. Her attackers, were two men on a motorcycle who approached her vehicle and opened fire. Sabeen was shot four times and succumbed to her injuries en route to the hospital.
Sabeen’s mother was also shot in the attack and is recovering.
Sabeen Mahmud, was returning home after hosting a seminar at the T2F premises in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase-II.
