KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain has said that baseless propaganda was made against MQM and workers were killed extra-judicially, however, party activists did not take up arms.
Altaf Hussain was addressing party workers in Jinnah Ground late on Saturday night.
Altaf congratulated party candidates who bagged victory in the local bodies elections in the cantonment boards and said that MQM remained on top in these polls in Sindh. He said his party will continue its struggle for democracy in the country.
“Demand for making Karachi a separate province was not made by me,” said Altaf and added it was demand of the residents of urban cities of Sindh. He said for better system in the country at least 20 provinces should be created.
