Rangers will have 1st class judicial magistrate power on election day
KARACHI: Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Babar Yaqoob said on Saturday that 2500 ECP personnel will be deployed for the NA-246 by-election and Rangers will have the powers of a 1st class judicial magistrate.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi the ECP secretary general said that for the moment it is not possible to implement biometric verification of voters.

Yaqoob added that over seven thousand personnel will be on duty on election day with at least one Ranger present at each polling station.
