PESHAWAR: A senior commander of Haqqani Network was killed in an armed clash with Pakistan’s security forces in the night between Thursday and Friday, sources said.
The sources said that the forces killed Umar Zadran in the bordering area of North Waziristan Agency, where the Pakistan army has been battling the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and other local and foreign militants since June last year in its campaign against violent extremism.
Haqqani Network has claimed responsibility for many deadly attacks against US and other foreign forces stationed in Afghanistan.
