Senior ANP leader Azam Khan Hoti dies at 69
PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Senator Azam Khan Hoti died in Mardan on Wednesday after losing his battle against cancer at the age of 69.
Hoti was the father of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and a brother of Begum Naseem Wali Khan, making him the maternal uncle of ANP chief Asfandyar Wali.

PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Senator Azam Khan Hoti died in Mardan on Wednesday after losing his battle against cancer at the age of 69.
Hoti was the father of former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and a brother of Begum Naseem Wali Khan, making him the maternal uncle of ANP chief Asfandyar Wali.
Hoti has twice served as federal minister, and was also elected as senator twice — once in 1993 and then again in 2012.
His funeral prayers will be held in Mardan at 4 pm today.
