Have not sought help from any party: PTI candidate Imran Ismail

KARACHI: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has not sought the support of any other party for their election campaign in NA-246, the party’s candidate Imran Ismail said Thursday.

Ismail was speaking to reporters earlier today before he left with party chairman, who is in Karachi, to visit different areas of Azizabad’s NA-246 constituency, considered a stronghold of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Ismail said he grateful for the welcome messages from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain, but clarified that the party had neither sought help, nor did it require support for election campaign.

Whatever we do today or in the coming days will be our own doing, he said, adding that the PTI did not need the ‘support’ of any other party.

"If somebody wants to help, they should keep their workers in control so that any untoward incident does not take place," he said.

Ismail will accompany PTI chief as he visits Waterpump area, after which he will also go to Karimabad, Ghareebabad, Husainabad, and other adjoining areas of the NA-246 constituency.

The PTI chairman will go to Azizabad’s Jinnah Ground later in the day where he will also offer
