Army Chief writes letter to Najam Sethi, appreciates conduct of PSL, WI series in Pakistan
LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has written a letter to Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), extending hearty felicitation on the conduct of PSL final and home series with West Indies in Pakistan.
In the letter to Sethi dated May 03, the Army Chief says, “I wish to express hearty felicitation to you and your team on the conduct of Pakistan Super League and home series with West Indies in Pakistan. These landmark achievements not only bode well for the future of Pakistan Cricket but also allay the distorted view of Pakistan and the security environment.”
The letter further reads, “Pakistan Army supports PCB in all its efforts to promote image of peaceful and progressive Pakistan. We appreciate your diligence and patriotic zeal in making these events a resounding success.”
General Bajwa also thanked Najam Sethi for his kind words of gratitude for making comprehensive security arrangements for international cricket events.
