CHARSADDA: Ten members of the same family were gunned down in Charsadda on Sunday in what police described as the outcome of a domestic dispute.
According to police, two children and four women were among those killed when gunmen opened fire on the family when they asleep in their house in tehsil Tangi of Charsadda.
All ten people, including the head of the family identified as Jamal, died on the spot.
Relatives of the family told police that incident appeared to have taken place on a dispute over a marriage proposal.
They accuse Jamal's soon-to-be son-in-law, Gul Ahmed Khan, to be behind the murders, who they claim had also killed his own own parents and two brothers four months earlier.
Police said that they have registered an initial FIR on the statements of the victims' relatives, and is carrying out further investigation.
Police said that they were also carrying out raids to arrest the main suspect Gul Ahmed Khan.
