KARACHI: Police and intelligence agencies on Friday arrested another member of Rao Anwar's team during a joint raid in Karachi, according to Geo News.
Shakeel, a policeman, was part of former SSP Malir's shooting team, the TV channel reported.
The Anti-Terrorism Court has handed the arrested shooter to the police for physical remand for a week.
Rao Anwar is accused of killing Naqeebullah Mehsood, a native of South Waziristan, in a fake encounter in Karachi.
The murder was carried out in January, days after the youth went missing from Sohrab Goth.
The killing sparked countrywide protests after the pictures of the aspiring model were widely circulated on the social media.
A sit-in was also staged in Islamabad to protest against the extra judicial murder of Mehsood.
Rao Anwar went into hiding after his attempt to flee the country was foiled by FIA officials at Islamabad's Benazir International Airport.
He appeared before the Supreme Court last month which ordered the police to arrest him, refusing to grant him protective bail.
He was shifted to Karachi and sent on physical remand.
