After Zainab, Asma; 8-year-old girl raped, burnt alive in Chichawatni

CHICHAWATNI: After little Zainab and Asma were raped in Kasur and Mardan, another minor was raped in Punjab.

In yet another child rape incident, eight-year-old girl Noor Fatima was burnt alive after being raped in Chichawatni.

According to details, Noor Fatima was a resident of Muhammadabad ward no. 17. She went to buy a toffee for herself but didn’t come back for hours. The parents got worried and started searching her after three hours of her missing.

Then they found her burnt, in an unconscious condition.

They took her to Tehsil Headquarters hospital but 80 to 90 percent of her body had been burnt. The postmortem report confirmed that she was raped and then burnt.

Her body samples were sent to Forensic lab for further inspection.

The locals protested over the tragic indent and observed a shutter-down strike.

Routine activities and businesses remained closed in protest. The locals and family members demanded to bring the accused to justice and asked the chief justice to take a notice of the incident.
