KARACHI: Pakistan musician, rock guitarist and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporter Salman Ahmad has stated that after 35 years of defending, supporting and justifying party chief Imran Khan to the world , 'I no longer can'.
In a tweet here Monday, Salman Ahmad said, “After 35 years of defending, supporting & justifying @ImranKhanPTI to the world , i no longer can.”
He went on to say, “I fear that reptiles surround him (Imran Khan).”
Salman Ahmad remarks came on the day when TV anchor Aamir Liaquat Hussain and TV artist Abid Ali formally announced to join PTI at a press conference. They were flanked by party Chief Imran Khan in Karachi.
Salman Ahmad has been often seen at PTI rallies and sings patriotic and revolutionary songs in these rallies which revitalises the whole environment.
He is often alleged as being a member of the party as well.
In October 2016, Salman Ahmad was taken into custody by Islamabad police along with various other PTI workers after the activists clashed with the law enforcement entities in Rawalpindi.
