MQM says will support PTI candidate for Senate opposition leader

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan has announced that it would support the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate for Opposition Leader in the Senate.

Speaking to media after the meeting, Faisal Sabzwari said MQM would not support Sherry Rehman as it doesn't want to vote for a Pakistan People's Party candidate for the leader of the opposition in the upper house of the parliament.
He said all the MQM Senators would vote for the PTI candidate.
The MQM leader levelled allegations of corruption against the PPP and said the party has destroyed entire Sindh during the last 10 years.
Imrn Khan calls PTI meeting
Meanwhile, PTI chairman Imran Khan has called a meeting of party's core group at Bani Gali to finalize the name of candidate for the opposition leader.
All the three major political parties including PMLN, PPP and PTI are vying for the slot of Opposition leader in the Senate.
The PPP has fielded Sherry Rehman as its candidate for the position.
