LAHORE: At least nine people including four policemen were martyred and several others sustained injuries in an explosion near police check-post in Raiwind area of Lahore on Wednesday, police said.
CCPO Lahore has confirmed the death toll.
The nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained.
However, police officials said the explosion took place near a police check post and apparently police force was targeted.
The dead and injured were shifted to nearby hospital.
Police and Law Enforcement Agencies have cordoned off the area.
