ANAHEIM, California: An ice-cream parlor named Snowopolis in Anaheim, US state California recently added a unique 24-carat gold ice cream on its menu.
The ice cream retails at $14.95 a scoop and is in limited stock for now.
As shared by the parlor owners, great care is given to the preparation of the ice cream. Even its biscuit is pre-sprayed with 24-carat gold dust.
However, the gold used is purely safe for human consumption as it is edible and essentially tasteless.
“Most likely edible gold won’t be absorbed from the digestive system into the bloodstream, and therefore it will pass through the body and eliminated as waste,” registered dietitian Cynthia Sass explained. “But this may depend on the size, amount, and frequency consumed.”
