Mercury dropped to an all-time-low in the remote village of Oymyakon in Siberia where the temperature reached to -62C!

The Russian village is known as the coldest permanently inhabited region in the entire world.

Visitors often narrate their story of how the newly-installed digital thermometer broke due to icy-cold weather in the area.

The village houses approximately 500 people and they share their experiences of going out in the cold and their lashes freezing to rock-solid in just a matter of seconds.

The lowest temperature in the village in history depicts a -66.7C, recorded back in 1933.
