BEIJING: Olympic swimmers may be among the widely recognized athletes – be it for their victory and vigilant efforts in time target – add in a few toughies like dive and thrive in an ice-cold pool and you’d come across diversified talents.
This winter manic swimming competition had over 500 swimmers and 75 teams from across the world went on route for the Jiagedaqi District in China's Heilongjiang Province – where the temperature plunged to minus 29 degrees Celsius.
The divers made this history on December 25, where Christmas had set in for merrier Monday; these swimmers dove in for this event in the Greater Khingan Mountainous Area.
The competition parted in all sorts of sections – freestyle, breaststroke and relay – where age groups also came under classifications, allowing age from 15 to 76.
