The Lantern Festival held in Philippines every year is a true reflection of the Filipino culture. This year the festival was held on 17th December 2017.
Locally referred to as Parols, these lanterns are famous for their intricate and unique designs.
Large-sized Christmas lanterns are made out of bamboo frames, steel, colored plastic or fiberglass and even handmade paper. Along with lanterns, 5000 colored lights and bulbs add to the illuminated aura of the festivities.
People flock to Pampanga to watch the brightest Christmas event of all times. Every year the most brightest and vibrant of all lanterns make their way to the festival.
