KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Surajul Haq said on Sunday that Al-Quds would not become capital of Israel until the Muslims are alive on the earth, terming 2018 as a freedom year for Palestine and Kashmir.
Addressing the “Al-Quds Million March” organised by JI to express solidarity with the people of Palestine here, Sirajul Haq said that the Muslim Ummah needs a courageous leadership for the independence of Palestine and Kashmir. Muslims leaders are asleep but the Ummah is awake.
He said that it was a conspiracy of the enemy to divide the Ummah on sectarian and ethnic lines. He called upon the Muslim world to forge unity in their ranks to save Al-Quds.
Strongly condemning the Quetta church attack in which eight people were killed, the JI chief said that India was behind the attack. He went on to say that India, the US and Israel had formed a troika against Pakistan.
He said the recently formed Islamic military alliance should be given an agenda and Al-Quds must be on top of its priority list.
