Third anniversary of APS attack being observed: We still shed tears

The 3rd Anniversary of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar massacre is being marked today. It was cold-blooded murder of the most innocent of victims when six terrorists had stormed the School and martyred around 150 students and teachers.

PESHAWAR: The 3rd Anniversary of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar massacre is being marked today. It was cold-blooded murder of the most innocent of victims when six terrorists stormed the School and martyred around 150 students and teachers.

Though the security forces befittingly responded to the attack and killed all the terrorists, yet the moment of fear makes us cry when we imagine the faces of those innocent little children who lost their lives in such a horrible tragedy.

It was on Dec 16, 2014, and our souls still weep, remembering the little stars who were denied to fulfill their dreams by the terrorists. Some educators, representing the best in child mentorship, were also embraced the martyrdom in a bid to save their students.

After this tragic incident, the entire nation stand united against the heinous act of terrorism, the government chalked out the National Action Plan to eradicate the menace of terrorism, which is gaining the desired results.

The APS tragedy had led  historic national unity and promoted the nation to make a firm resolve against terrorism and extremism.

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has paid tribute in his message to the nation on the anniversary of the tragedy of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar.

The prime minister said the day would be remembered as black day in country’s history when barbaric elements had targeted the innocent children of the APS.

He said the valiant security forces of Pakistan defeated the terrorists under the National Action Plan and broke their back consequent to their tireless efforts. The blood of the innocent people has come to fruition making the Pakistani nation the only nation across the world that had defeated the terrorists.

Prime Minister Abbasi said the memory of the APS victims would continue disturbing us. 

To remember the day, a special functions is being  arranged at Army Public School Peshawar today.

While, The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has constructed a memorial of APS martyrs in Peshawar, which will be inaugurated tomorrow.
