KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said that Fata should immediately be merged with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to fill the vacuum created in the area owing to terrorism.

Addressing a presser here, the PTI chief recalled that it was stated in the Clause 12 of the National Action Plan (NAP) that the Fata would be established. He suggested filling the vacuum created in the tribal areas with the view to eliminate terrorism.

He said that the government intends to prolong the issue upto 2022 under the pressure of Fazlur Rehman.

Talking about the Model Town inquiry report, Khan said that the Najafi report had accused Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah. He said that the police force was used to kill 14 people in Model Town.

He reiterated his demand of early elections, saying problems were increasing day by day in the country.

Earlier in the day, PTI chief Imran Khan had met with traders, who complained of not solving their problems by PTI MNA Dr Arif Alvi.

During a meeting, the traders complained that the PTI MNA had not visited them since the last elections. They added that the PTI did nothing in the city.

The PTI chief admitted not giving a proper attention to the city, reasoning he was busy fighting a ‘mafia’.

He said that all the parties were aware that the 2013 elections were rigged.

Later, addressing a rally in Quaidabad area, the PTI chief termed Karachi as PTI’s city.
