Imran rules out possibility of any alliance with PPP

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has categorically ruled out possibility of any alliance with Pakistan Peoples Party.

Speaking to media after appearing before Anti-Terrorism Court here Monday, Imran said, “PTI cannot make any alliance with PPP until Asif Ali Zardari is there.”

"My struggle is not for coming in power, my fight is against corruption,” Imran said.

Earlier, the ATC rejected Khan’s plea to remove terror related charges from the charge sheet.

Judge Shah Rukh Arjmand of ATC took up four cases including attack on PTV and parliament, violence against SSP Asmatullah Junejo and freeing workers from police station forcibly.

PTI chairman had filed the petition against inclusion of terror related clauses in cases against him. Terrorism related clauses be scrapped and case be sent to sessions judge as protesting for the sake of one's rights is not terrorism, he prayed.

Khan's counsel Babar Awan argued that as per the police report workers of PTI and PAT, armed with batons, attacked the PTV and Parliament. Is attacking with batons terrorism, he asked.

Later, the court extended Imran Khan's bail till December 19 and directed him to appear before the court on next hearing.
