Israeli commando caught red handed stealing fruit from Palestinian vendor
TEL AVIV: As if occupation of land wasn’t enough, an Israeli army commando has been filmed stealing fruit from a Palestinian vendor’s stand after clashes in the West Bank town of Hebron.
Soldiers from the Givati brigade were in the area to suppress protests following Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, which has sparked global outrage.
In a video that has been posted on the internet, the squad commander, who did not notice Palestinians filming him, is seen stealing apples from the stand and passing them out to the soldiers who were with him.
The vendor had left his stand unattended as the clashes broke out with the Israeli army.
The commando was later suspended but the Palestinians expressed anger on social media after the video surfaced on the internet.
