FAISALABAD: Three militants affiliated to proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan were killed in a shootout with Counter Terrorism Department in Faisalabad, CTD spokesman said.
According to spokesman, at least five militants of TTP were making their way to Faisalabad from Sandil Bar area, where counter terrorism officials stopped them on intelligence information. The terrorists opened fire at the personnel, ensuing a gunfight in which three militants were killed.
Two other militants managed to flee, the CTD spokesman said.
Weapons, explosives, detonators and motorcycles were seized from the possession of militants, the spokesman added.
