MULTAN: Senior politician Javed Hashmi is expected to meet ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on December 4, Geo TV quoted unnamed sources as saying on Saturday.
According to the TV channel, Hashmi has said some friends were trying to arrange a meeting between him and the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader.
Hashmi, however, added that he has not been formally informed about the meeting.
Before Joining Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in December 2011, Hashmi had previously worked as the president of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz for a considerable period of time.
However, things took an unfavourable turn when a rift between Hashmi and PTI chief Imran Khan over party leadership deepened in 2014.
Hashmi levelled serious allegations against Imran Khan as he quit the party after developing differences with the PTI chief over the party's sit-in in Islamabad's D-Chowk.
