KARACHI: The cellular services, suspended as part of security arrangements on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), has been restored in major cities of the country.
The cell phone network was suspended for 12 hours in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur and Quetta.
A notification, issued by Sindh government on Thursday, said that cellular services in Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkar will remain suspended from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm on Friday to maintain law and order.
The provincial government had taken strict measures to ensure security of processions on Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH), deploying a large numbers of security personnel.

The federal and provincial governments had declared December 1 as public holiday on account of Jashan-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
