Karachi witnesses rise in street crimes

Karachi is witnessing a rise in street crimes during which several citizens have lost their lives during the last few months. On Tuesday armed robbers injured four people in different parts of city.
Three people were injured in Sohrab Goth area of the city when they resisted during a robbery, according to police.
One of the robbers was caughy by the people and severly tortured before police arrived.
Another injured robber was arrested by police after an exchange of fire.
Police said they had recovered a motorcycle and arms from the possession of the robber Ghulam Hussain.
The police said a citizen was injured while resisting robbery near Jauhar Maur.
According to private TV channels, a gunman tried to loot a house twice ina short span of half an hour in Nazimabad area of the city on November 27.
The media reported that a robber deprived a man of cash and other valuables, and half an hour later the gunman once again showed up outside the house of his victim.
