Khursheed Shah asks govt to discuss dharna issue with military leadership
ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Tuesday advised the government to establish contact with the country’s military leadership to resolve the issue of Faizabad dharna.
Speaking to the media at the Parliament House, he said calling the army or holding discussion with the army was the prerogative of the government.
Holding Nawaz Sharif responsible for the current situation, he said the issue of dharna should be resolved trough negotiations.
The Pakistan People’s Party stalwart said the opposition would try to get the Election (Amendment) bill passed, and warned of opting for other options if government triedto hinder the legislation.
He said a disqualified person running a political party would not produce better results.
