FAISALABAD: Relatives protested against the killing of four members of their family outside a district sessions court in broad day light, blocking roads and damaging nearby shops and vehicles.
All four people belonged to the same family and were shot when coming out of the court after a hearing in Jaranwala District here on Friday.
The outraged relatives staged a protest demonstration outside the District Headquarters Hospital and reportedly forcefully shut down nearby shops while blocking the main road for all traffic. Some vehicles were also reportedly damaged during the protest.
The police officials reached the site hours after the protest. The protesters, who also tried to break into the police station, dispersed after being assured of prompt action against the culprits and ‘incompetent police officers’.
