FAISALABAD: Four of a family along with a rickshaw driver and his son lost their lives in a road accident while another four people were injured when their vehicle was run over by a speeding bus in Faisalabad on Friday.
The accident occurred in Faisalabad’s Samundari area when a speeding bus collided with a motorcycle rickshaw carrying 10 people including the driver. Among the passengers were Yusuf, his wife and six children while the driver’s son was also on-board the vehicle.
Yusuf and three of his children expired on the spot while his wife, remaining three children, the rickshaw driver and his son were shifted to the hospital. During treatment, the rickshaw driver identified as Akthar and his son Zohaib also succumbed to their injuries.
The remaining four survivors are said to be in critical condition and are under treatment at the hospital where they continue to fight for their lives.
