ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousuf on Wednesday said that ‘Nizam-e-Salah’ will be enforced all over the country and there will be uniformity in the timings of calls for prayers (Azaan) and prayers (Namaz) will also be offered accordingly.
Chairing a meeting here, Federal Minister Sardar Yousuf said all the markets and government/ private offices will remain closed during the prayer timings, adding that the Nizam-e-Salah will initially be imposed in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
He said a ten-member committee has been formed to come at a decision on the timings of of prayers. Committees comprising clerics and traders will oversee the Nizam-e-Salah, he added.
“After consulting the traders, lawyers, chamber of commerce, students and civil society, the proposed Nizam-e-Salah will be put in place in the country”, the minister said.
