LONDON/KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday expressed grief over the killing of MQM’s Legal Aid Committee member Ali Hasnain Bukhari and demanded urgent inquiry.
Altaf inquired whether an investigation committee would be setup to probe into the matter or would this be forgotten about and put into ‘cold storage’ like everything else.
He went on to question that was it a crime to litigate a murder and who could be approached on the matter of missing persons if not the courts.
The MQM chief further said that what do the Chief Minister Sindh, ISI, MI, and IG Sindh all have to say about this incident.
He demanded that speedy justice needs to be provided to the family of the martyred.
Altaf also said that ‘God’s baton of charge’ is silent and that with a heavy heart He can only be begged for justice.
Earlier today, Sindh High Court Senior Advocate, Ali Hasnain Bukhari was shot dead by unknown armed assailants in Karachi’s Korangi No 1 1/2 area. Accoring to MQM’s Rabita Committee, Bukhari was also MQM’s Legal Aid Committee member.
