ICJ had issued interim order only to complete hearing: Khawar Qureshi
LONDON: Counsel for Pakistan before the International Court of International (ICJ) Khawar Qureshi said on Friday that the court had just issued an interim order so that the hearing could be completed.
Speaking to Geo News, Qureshi said unfortunately politicians had failed to refrain themselves from doing political point-scoring over the issue.
He said that India had misled the court. About rumours on his fees, Qureshi said Indian Twitterati were behind these reports.
He clarified that his fees were no even 10 percent of what the Indian propaganda had been suggesting.
We are expecting the ICJ would announce a date for the next hearing within a week or so, he maintained. Pakistan may request for the hearing in case the court does not announce the date, he concluded.
