The court rejected compromise notice submitted by Tayyab’s parents before the court. They had told the court they did not want to pursue the case further.

Tayyaba's parents had declared false the charges of torture levelled against the sessions judge and his wife. The 10-year-old's parents had informed the court they did not hold the accused couple responsible for the torture marks on their daughter's body. They also told the court that the case filed against the couple is false.
