ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan on Monday said the the electoral body has jurisdiction to hear the case regarding foreign funding of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), according to Radio Pakistan.
The remarks came during the hearing of the foreign funding case. The Radio Pakistan reported that the petition filed by PTI challenging the ECP's jurisdiction.
The hearing was adjourned till May 17.
Commenting on the matter Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz said said the PTI introduced foreign finding in politics, adding that the party has no money trail of the funding.
