ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and discussed various matters, including Dawn Leaks and border situation.
Sources said that the meeting took place in pleasant environment on Thursday night in which both the leaders were agreed to resolve all the issues amicably.
They said that the meeting was held on the prime minister’s invitation. Senior journalist Hamid Mir said in a string of tweets that the prime minister and the army chief met last night but without media coverage. He, however, said it was a "good meeting".
The ISPR, media wing of the army, did not release any statement regarding the meeting which came amid the speculations that the civilian and military leaders of the country were not on the same page. The government, however, has rejected the impression and vowed to take the elements behind Dawn leaks controversy to task.
