SC seeks inquiry report over woman manhandling case at Islamabad Airport
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar Thursday sought an inquiry report on woman manhandling case at Islamabad Airport.
A three-member bench headed by the CJP heard the case.
During the course of proceedings, deputy attorney general informed the court that three officials had been held responsible for manhandling the woman in Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)'s inquiry.
The woman official, Ghazala Shaheen, had been dismissed from post, he added.
Besides this, an action had also been taken against those officials, who exposed the incident by making video, he added.
The apex court summoned the record of departmental inquiry into the matter and demanded the report on the progress regarding investigation currently being carried out at Airport Police Station.
The apex court has adjourned the hearing for three weeks.
