ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on Wednesday revoked licenses of Bol News and Bol Entertainment after Interior Ministry rejected security clearance of the company’s directors, according to a statement issued by the media watchdog.
“In its 131st meeting held at PEMRA headquarters on Tuesday, the authority took decision in the light of the recommendations by the Council of Complaints (COC) Sindh. The council rendered its opinion after hearing the channel,” said the statement.
It said the TV channels have been asked to surrender the original license and clear all the outstanding dues.
