KARACHI: Chief minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah said that his government would continue to encourage all those who were serving the nation and the country through their poetry, writings and arts.
He was speaking at the book launching ceremony of renowned poet and journalist Fazil Jamili’s book, titled ‘Gumnam Aadmi Ka Bayan’ - a collection of his poetry held here at a local hotel on Friday.
Spoke also on the occasion were senior provincial minister Nisar Khoro, minister Nasir Shah, former advisers Sharmila Farooqui, MPA Mehtab Akbar Rashdi, senior journalists Wusatullah Khan, Mujahid Barelvi and Shakil Aadilzada, well known painter Shahid Rassam and Ghulam Shahbaz Butt.
All of them reviewed the book and praised the poetry of Fazil Jamili, pointing out various ‘ghazals’ and ‘nazms’ included in the collection.
The speakers termed his book a fine blend of classic and modern poetry.
A large number of people, including journalists, writers and poets attended the ceremony.
