RAWALPINDI: A female student was killed after she was run over by metro Bus on Friday at Rahmanabad Metro station in Rawalpindi.
A metro bus accidentally hit a pole as a result the door opened and the driver pressed emergency brakes to control speed, while the girl fell on the Rahmanabad station track and was run over by metro bus, another passenger sustained injury.
The body and injured were rushed to the Civil Hospital for medico legal formalities and treatment. The girl student was identified as Sameera, 19. The other passenger was discharged from hospital after the treatment.
According to eye witnesses, the metro bus was going from Rawalpindi to Islamabad when the driver pressed on brakes to control the speed as construction work was underway at the Rahmanabad station.
Meanwhile, the victims’ parents said that we will lodge a case against metro bus administration.
