Contact through hotline: Pakistan informs India of presence of census staff at LoC

RAWALPINDI: Pakistani military officials on Tuesday established contact with their Indian counterparts on hotline to inform them in advance about the movement of census staff at the Line of Control (LoC).
An ISPR statement issued here said that the villages and houses located at the Line of Control are included in the second phase of the ongoing census.
India has been informed in advance of the movement of census staff, including civil and military officials at LoC as a part of confidence building measure, it added.
The contact has been established to ensure safety and security of civil and military personnel following frequent ceasefire violations by Indian army.
