ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Monday reacted on the response against the dissenting note of two judges in Panama Leaks case and said that whatsoever is happening in Pakistan has never been seen anywhere in the world.

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan reached the Supreme Court (SC) for the hearing of suo moto case being chaired by CJP Justice Saqib against encroachments in Bani Gala.

Briefly touching upon the Panamagate verdict Justice Nisar said dissenting verdicts are given everywhere in the world but nowhere are they discussed as much as in Pakistan.

Everyone is supposed to respect the courts and their decisions including you, Nisar told Khan.

At this, Khan praised the five-member Panamagate bench saying that he stood behind the country’s institutions.

People come to courts looking for an institution they can trust. It is up to us to rid the air of distrust and move forward, Justice Nisar remarked during the case proceedings.

During the proceeding, the CJP expressed words of praise for Imran Khan for raising illegal construction issue and said that he has leadership skills and that people admire him and stand with him.

You are not a common man as your voice can either bring betterment or negativity among the nation, the CJP remarked.

Imran Khan said that corruption has destroyed all the departments of Pakistan but he still has hopes with the apex court.

Your character and thinking should be constructive, the CJP said to PTI chief.

During the course of hearing, the CJP while addressing Imran Khan remarked, I too had played cricket in Aitcheson College under your captaincy even today I have remembered your shot you had played with such a huge force that the ball went out of the church.
