KARACHI: The police have made progress into the investigations of murder of DIG Peshawar Shahab Mazhar's son in Karachi.
It has now been revealed that the suspect had already arranged the rope and gloves, meaning that he had planned to kill Umar Shahab, son of DIG Peshawar.
As per the details available, Umar was strangled to death by the police guard posted at their bungalow in DHA Karachi on ‘some monetary dispute’.
The accused guard identified as Faqir Muhamamd was under arrest. He was posted at the residence six months ago.
The probe also confirmed that the suspect had also attempted to murder Umar's mother. The investigators have found blood stains on her room's switch board.
Another guard deployed at the residence of the deceased said, Faqir Muhammad was demanding Rs 200,000 and on refusal he killed Umar.
