PPP, MQM stage walk out from NA over hike in GST
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members staged walk out from National Assembly in protest against increase in General Sales Tax (GST) on petroleum products, Geo News reported.
The government has increased 5 per cent GST on the POL products. This tax has reached to its highest level to 22 per cent from 17pc with recent hike.

Prior to their walk out, opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah criticized the government, saying that at time of increasing petroleum product prices OGRA is blamed and when there is cut, it is said that government has provided relief.
