ISLAMABAD: A special enrollment campaign has been launched in all government schools across Khyber Agency.
Assistant Political Agent Jamrud Zia-ur-Rehman Marwat, Khyber Agency Education Officer Jadoon Khan and a large number of students and local elders participated in the ceremony arranged by the UNICEF and the agency education department at the Government Higher Secondary School Jamrud, a private news channel reported.
Locals were of the view that education is the fundamental right of every child adding that without education a society could not make progress.
Elders of the area also stressed on parents to enroll their children in schools so that the country could be put on the path of progress.
Later, a rally was also held to aware masses about the importance of education.
A large number of students and local people participated in the rally.
