Mardan lynching: New video shows Mashal killers pledging to hide shooter’s identity
PESHAWAR: A new video surfaced on Tuesday in which Mashal’s killers are reportedly celebrating and pledging to not divulge the name of the person who shoot Mashal Khan.
Mashal Khan, a journalism student at Abdul Wali Khan University, was lynched to death by a mob on the allegations of committing blasphemy a charge later found to be fabricated to frame the victim and his friends.

The person addressing the enraged crowd is PTI counselor Arif, who is under arrest for being involved in Mashal’s brutal murder. The crowd can be seen congratulating each other and pledging to not share the identity of the shooter.
Whoever tells the name, will be considered a blasphemer, they shouted.
Today, Imran Khan visited the aggrieved family and promised to bring all the perpetrators to the book. I can feel the pain of Mashal’s parents, I tell you we will make this case an example for everyone, he said after condoling with the father.
Mashal murder is a conspiracy and the provincial government will not spare anyone no matter which party he belongs to, the PTI chief promised.
The law of jungle can’t prevail, he added.
